**Job Description: Senior Manager, Operations – Bihar**

**Position Overview:**  

As the Senior Manager, Operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving the implementation of projects under Indus Action’s partnership with the Government of Bihar. This includes supporting project formulation, stakeholder engagement, operational management, and policy advocacy.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

– Support partnership formulation with government departments and other organizations.

– Conduct primary/secondary research to identify scheme implementation gaps and recommend solutions.

– Design and implement initiatives to improve scheme implementation (e.g., RTE Act 2009 Sec. 12(1)(c)).

– Manage day-to-day operations, including campaign design, process setup with government, application center management, grievance redressal, etc.

– Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials and stakeholders.

– Navigate complex ecosystems to drive outcomes, balancing multiple priorities and resources strategically.

 

**Knowledge & Technical Skills:**

– **Stakeholder Management:** Experience leading teams and partnering with government officials at various levels (e.g., DM, SPD, Secretary).

– **Project Management:** Proven ability to manage end-to-end projects, including budget management and quality control.

– **Data & Technology:** Understanding of technology for MIS systems, analytical skills for strategy creation, and coordination with technical teams.

– **Research & Analysis:** Experience in fieldwork/primary research (preferred) and strong report-writing skills.

 

**Requirements:**

– Master’s degree in Social Sciences with 3 to 6 years of relevant work experience in the social sector.

– Strong local understanding of Hindi, culture, and terrain is preferred.
