**Position Summary:**
We are seeking a Senior Program Manager (Policy Reforms) to join our team in this exciting phase of organizational growth. This role involves conceiving, developing, and implementing policy reforms that enhance India’s S&T ecosystem, fostering innovation, and translating research into economic and social value. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in public policy, particularly in science, technology, and innovation (STI) policy, and a passion for driving impactful change.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement policies that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of scientific R&D financing and remove barriers to innovation.
– Provide research and policy support, aligned with FAST India’s mission, to address diverse policy questions.
– Engage in primary and secondary research, synthesizing data from government, institutions, and industry experts.
– Prepare policy briefs, fact sheets, and presentations for meetings, conferences, and workshops.
– Support the leadership team in achieving organizational goals and maintaining stakeholder engagement.
**Qualifications:**
– A master’s or doctoral degree in public policy, STI policy, or a related field from a top-tier institution.
– 10+ years of experience in high-growth environments, particularly in public policy or STI policy.
– Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
– Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships, demonstrating excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
– A passion for science and technology, along with a commitment to advancing India’s S&T ecosystem.
