**Job Summary:**
iFOREST seeks a young professional to join its communication team. The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies, creating engaging content, and supporting broader communication campaigns.
**Responsibilities:**
* Produce compelling social media content (copy, visuals, infographics) across LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram.
* Design communication campaigns supporting iFOREST’s research on climate change, Just Transition, renewable energy, and climate governance.
* Create visually appealing posters and reels using Adobe, Canva, and other relevant tools.
* Convert complex climate science into engaging data visuals and infographics.
* Support the creation of podcasts and video explainers.
* Provide PR and outreach support for events such as round tables, dialogues, report releases, and workshops.
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree.
* 1-2 years of experience in communication design and social media management.
* Expertise in social media strategy development and execution across LinkedIn, X, and Instagram.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.
* Proven experience creating successful social media campaigns with clear calls to action.
* Strong data visualization skills and experience simplifying complex information into engaging formats (e.g., LinkedIn carousels, audio-visual content).
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
* Interest in environmental research and climate communications is preferred.
