**Job Title:** Social Mobilization Coordinator – Lymphatic Filariasis (LF)

**Job Location:** Various Blocks of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and West Bengal.
**Project Overview:** This project focuses on eliminating Lymphatic Filariasis (LF), a neglected tropical disease, through increased demand generation for existing drug treatments. The project leverages existing platforms like State Rural Livelihoods Missions (SRLMs), Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), and community networks to improve drug compliance.
**Job Summary:** The Social Mobilization Coordinator will play a crucial role in increasing demand for and compliance with LF medication. This involves coordinating with various stakeholders, developing and implementing social mobilization plans, and monitoring program activities.
**Responsibilities:**
* Map potential channels and platforms for social mobilization.
* Develop block/urban area social mobilization plans.
* Organize stakeholder orientations.
* Coordinate with the health department on guideline distribution.
* Build relationships with key stakeholders (SRLM, Education Officers, PRI officials, etc.).
* Manage the supply of IEC materials.
* Oversee the implementation of the social mobilization plan.
* Provide training materials and conduct orientations.
* Conduct supportive supervision visits and provide feedback.
* Support block-level training of Drug Administrators.
* Conduct training sessions on social mobilization and communication.
* Monitor Mass Drug Administration activities.
* Maintain daily Management Information System (MIS) reports.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
* Bachelor’s degree in any field.
* Minimum 3 years of field experience in social mobilization for public health programs.
* At least 2 years of experience in supervision and project monitoring.
* Basic knowledge of Lymphatic Filariasis and experience liaising with government officials.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
* Excellent management and organizational skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Fluency in Hindi and the local language of the assigned area.
* Willingness to travel extensively and work to tight deadlines.
* Must possess a motorcycle and valid driver’s license.
* Local residency preferred.
