Job Summary :

This position is responsible for supporting the research activities under different projects of UPTSU which includes MNCH, Nutrition, & Family Planning. The position will primarily be responsible for developing the concept notes of different research studies and conduct analysis for program and peer-reviewed publications.

Key Responsibilities:

Key Deliverables expected from the Job Role:

Design population-level robust surveys (mixed-method) for the program excellence and evaluation
Lead the process of peer-reviewed scientific writing and support in publication agenda within the team as well as with other teams.
Develop technical documents, brief notes, and infographics from the evidence generated through research.
Organizing, writing, and editing survey manuals, tools and other protocols
Conduct survey analysis including the generation of sampling weights
Prepare a repository of all internal and external data sources related to health and other related data

Key Inputs expected from the Job Role:

Coordinate with government and other stakeholders during the research activities
Lead the process of data analysis to address the identified strategic questions and to generate key programmatic insights using primary data (internal concurrent monitoring survey, program monitoring data and government data (HMIS/UP-HMIS)) and secondary data sources (NFHS, AHS, DLHS etc)
Lead the process of synthesizing the empirical findings

Work Experience:

Essential experience:

More than 7 years of relevant experience and at least 5 years of experience in surveys
Experienced in analysing large scale data sets such as DHS/NFHS or other national level surveys
Experienced in scientific writing and publication in a peer-reviewed journal
