Action for Food Production (AFPRO) is a socio-technical not for profit Organization working for the development of rural poor through effective natural resource management solutions. It is an “Organization of National Importance” duly notified by Government of India.

Our Domain Areas: Water, Sanitation, Watershed Management, Climate Resilient Sustainable Agriculture, Livelihood Diversification, and Climate Change for effective management of natural resources.

AFPRO having its Head Office at New Delhi requires Sr. Specialist – Program with following requirements:

Qualification: Post Graduate in Agriculture / NRM.

Well versed with Water, Watershed related projects, Water & Soil Management etc. Experience of working with National level NPOs will be preferred.

Experience: 8–10 years of work experience in management of NRM programs.

Age: 35 – 45 years

Compensation: Attractive compensation will be given to the deserving candidate based on his/her experience and performance in the interview.

Job Description

The candidate will be required to lead a multidisciplinary team for effective planning, execution and monitoring of projects related to NRM. An understanding of projects and policies related to Rural Development supported by Government, Corporate groups and international agencies

The above positions may require extensive travel to project locations.

Scope of Tasks & Responsibilities

• Extending Socio-technical services to project teams for the effective implementation of Program/Projects related to Natural Resource Management

• Preparation of proposals for sourcing new projects.

• Coordinating the activities of multidisciplinary team of professional staff for execution of projects and programs.

• Program planning by involving various stakeholders based on the regional needs.

• Conducting Joint Monitoring and Review exercises of the ongoing projects

• Program Management and conducting Evaluations

• Networking/coordination/liaison with Government/Development agencies in the region for promotion of the programs

Skills Required:

• The applicant should be able to make project proposals.
• The applicant must be mature, good public relations, team building, resilient, motivated and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and presentation skills both in English and Hindi
• Excellent computer skills
