Networking:
- With Government/District Administration: for overall improvement of child protection & its strengthening.
- Police: FIR & relevant section
- CWC : for rehabilitation
- DCPU: for follow up & rehabilitation
- CSO: for follow up, rehabilitation& rescue operation.
- Documentation of each child & networking:
- Case Stories
- Meetings Minutes & Process documents
- Rehabilitation card/ document of each child
- Follow up report from of each child.
- Any other important document
Raid & Rescue:
- Identification
- Rescue
- FIR Lodging
- Production before CWC
Rehabilitation:
- Phone follow up of each rescued child
- Home visit(ensure of each child)
- Linking child with welfare schemes
- Linking child with economic aspects
- Linking child with Education
- Advocacy with the Law Enforcement Agencies at State Level and District Level like Labour, Women and Child Development Department/DCPU/CWC, DGP/SP, DM Office etc. to ensure in time rescue and rehabilitation of the children
- Capacity Building of LEAs and CSOs through training programs, policy drafting, action plan drafting and consultations on various Acts specifically JJ Act, Child Labour Act, Trafficking, Rehabilitation Etc.
Key Performance Indicators:
- No. of identification of children in vulnerable situation.
- No. of letters/ matters reported to child protection stake holders.
- No. of rescue operation conducted
No. of meeting held with:
1. Police
2. District Magistrate
3. Child Welfare Committee
4. District Child Protection Unit
5. Civil Society Organizations
- No. of rescue and rehabilitation of child
- No. of convergence meetings held of above mentioned officials
- No. of success stories/case stories/most significant stories generated
- No. of children repatriated and restored.
Requirement
Education:
· A post graduate in social work, law, social sciences or related fields from a recognized university
Experience & Exposure:
· 6 – 10 years of relevant experience of working in development sector in the field of child rights.
· 3 years min relevant experience in the field of child rights for candidate with M. Phil degree.
· Experience and passion for Child rights
Competencies for the role:
· Functional knowledge: Understanding of the areas of work the organization works in (child rights). Expert Legal Knowledge of the Subject.
· Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners. Should be good at the Art of convincing and Persuasion.
· Problem Solving: Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
· Teamwork: Developing and using collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals
· Self-driven: Consistently maintain high levels of activity or productivity and operate with vigor, effectiveness and determination over extended periods of time.
· Communication: Good Communication and Presentation skills.
· Good Networking Skills
Language and Communication Skills:
· Strong writing and language skills, in English and a regional language (Hindi or any other).
