**About the India Schools Team:**
The Schools Team at Khan Academy India partners with government school systems to improve student learning outcomes. We work closely with teachers and administrators, providing training, resources, and support to enable them to effectively utilize the Khan Academy platform. Our goal is to reach over five million learners in the next five years.
**About the Role:**
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our growing Schools Team as a State Coordinator consultant. This role will focus on supporting our program with the government school system in Maharashtra, specifically within the Model Schools system. Based in Pune, you will work closely with the Senior Program Lead and collaborate with various teams at Khan Academy India to ensure the successful implementation of our program.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* **Support Program Implementation:** Work with the Senior Program Lead and state nodal officer to implement the Khan Academy learning platform across government schools in Maharashtra.
* Take ownership of work streams and deliver on pre-agreed goals.
* Deliver and support in delivering training to education officials (Khan Academy program mentors/administrative cadre) and teachers on a regular basis.
* Follow up on training implementation, identify insights and challenges, and continuously strengthen the program for all teachers.
* **Manage Relationships:** Build and maintain strong relationships with administration officials, including nodal officers, state resource persons, district-level officers, and block-level officers.
* **Gather Data-Backed Insights:** Assist the program and partners in making informed decisions based on data-backed insights.
* **Conduct Field Visits:** Regularly conduct field visits (2-3/month) and engage with teachers to gather insights from schools. This will help the Khan Academy team identify strategic levers to increase adoption and deepen usage of the platform.
* **Manage Knowledge Effectively:** Ensure all state discussions are documented in a standard format and keep key stakeholders informed.
* **Analyze Qualitative Feedback:** Contribute to our learning by analyzing qualitative feedback from the state systems.
* **Collaborate with Teams:** Work closely with the Content, Partner Operations, Teacher Professional Development, and Data and Efficacy teams at Khan Academy India to ensure timely and successful program delivery.
* **Provide Additional Support:** Provide any other support as needed for the program.
**Qualifications:**
* **Experience:** 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Prior experience as an educator or working with government schools in Maharashtra is highly desirable.
* **Language Proficiency:** Fluent in Marathi (spoken and written).
* **Collaborative Mindset:** Strong collaborative mindset with the ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
* **Problem-Solving Skills:** Ability to navigate complex situations comfortably and make informed decisions aligned with shared goals.
* **Organizational Skills:** Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* **Documentation Skills:** Excellent ability to document information from multiple sources and present it in a clear and concise format for various audiences in English and Hindi.
* **Data Analysis Skills:** Comfortable working with data, identifying trends, drawing evidence-based conclusions, and analyzing qualitative insights.
* **Communication Skills:** Excellent communication skills, able to address different audiences using appropriate language in multiple formats (email, written documents, presentations, verbal conversations).
* **Learning Agility:** Quick learner who can quickly grasp new concepts and adapt to changing situations.
* **Entrepreneurial Mindset:** Entrepreneurial mindset with a high tolerance for ambiguity, a penchant for experimentation, and a bias toward action.
