**Job Title:** State Technical Coordinator (SB4) – Gender Budgeting – Odisha, India

**Job Description:**
UN Women seeks a State Technical Coordinator – Gender Budgeting (GB) to support the implementation of a donor-funded project in Odisha, India, focused on strengthening women’s leadership in economic, social, and political spheres. Reporting to the Country Programme Manager-GRB, the coordinator will work with state partners and government departments to advance gender budgeting at the panchayat level. Responsibilities include:
* Strengthening coordination and GB efforts at the state level.
* Undertaking research and documentation of planning, budgeting, and auditing processes at the panchayat level.
* Facilitating training and capacity development on GRB for officials and stakeholders.
* Implementing project activities at the state level, including reporting and stakeholder engagement.
**Experience Required:**
* At least 5 years of experience at the national/state level working with development projects, including hands-on experience in design, implementation, and monitoring/evaluation, preferably on Gender Responsive Governance, Gender Equality, and Women’s Empowerment.
* Progressive experience working with national/state governments on gender issues, preferably with panchayats; state-specific experience is preferred.
* Experience working on GRB with the government is advantageous.
* Experience in budgetary/policy analysis and capacity building of government officials.
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and other office software.
**Education:**
* Master’s Degree in Economics, Social Sciences, Social Work, Gender Studies, Public Administration, Policy, or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted.
**Language Requirements:**
* Fluency in English and Hindi is required.
* A good command of the Odia language is desired.
**Initial Contract Duration:** One year (renewable subject to availability of funds)
