Dasra is looking for an impact-driven individual with 6-8 years of experience for the role of Team Lead – Fundraising and Funder management for the 10to19: Dasra Adolescents Collaborative.

In this role, you will manage Indian and global donor engagement, reporting and accounts for a pooled fund of over USD 15M, as well as support senior leadership in forging new funding partnerships and relationships for the coming 5-year phase of the 10to19: Dasra Adolescents Collaborative.

Key responsibilities and expectations of a Team Lead: 

·       Oversee and manage funder reporting and compliance requirements, often involving cross-team work and mobilization across Dasra

·       Manage and forge deep funder relationships, consistently building trust and credibility towards a positive partnership/engagement, supporting and engaging senior leadership as necessary and strategic

·       Expand the funding pipeline and network for 10to19 by engaging external stakeholders with confidence, managing relationships towards critical goals, priorities and deliverables aligned with our 4 north star goals, and effectively representing 10to19 in external discussions and platforms

·       Translate complex ideas and trends into impactful and compelling narratives to mobilize greater support and championship for 10to19’s mission and vision

·       Independently lead and support the creation of one or more project plans/workstreams and, in turn, manage execution of plans and projects from end-to-end  

·       Perform complex assignments and fulfil responsibilities towards common outcomes at a project, team and organizational level

·       Contribute to the team- and organization-level management activities such as staffing, reporting, culture and engagement, learning and development, etc.

·       Work adaptably to support leadership, including Directors, Founders, Associate Directors and Managers towards fundraising and funder management

Desired Skills & Experience: 

  • For this role, we require a minimum of 5-8 years of experience and inclination towards fundraising, research, consulting, writing, knowledge management and multi-stakeholder engagement.
  • Written & Communication skills: Sharp written and communication skills, and ability to independently build frameworks and narratives
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, including the ability to define project scopes, plan with some support and guidance, manage the project team and ensure work efficiency and quality while managing budgets, and adhering to deadlines.
  • Fundraising: Ability to interact with and engage funders, build trust and confidence, assess synergies and opportunities strategically, and move from only execution to also managing relationships with some support/guidance
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with various external stakeholders with trust and confidence and guide them towards determined goals/projects/deliverables
  • People Management and Growth: Strong commitment and ability to develop and oversee a team and nurture talent to deliver excellent results
  • Leadership Mindset: Entrepreneurial attitude with a willingness and ability to build systems and processes, work independently, bring structure, as well as think and act creatively in a resource-constrained environment.

The 10to19: Dasra Adolescents Collaborative is a multi-stakeholder platform that pioneers an India-focused collaborative approach. We engage government, private philanthropy and community partners, to move the needle on child marriage, teenage pregnancy, completing high school and employability. In doing so, we aim to create an enabling environment for adolescents to access programmes, resources and opportunities which will help them realize their full potential. We currently bring together 280+ nonprofits (NGOs), central and state governments, nearly 20 global and Indian funders, groups of technical experts and adolescents themselves to create system-level change. By addressing pressing and foundational issues that hinder successful transitions into adulthood, we aim to support 15M young people to make positive life choices and become enablers of catalytic and cascaded impact.
