1. Lead a team of officers in the Grant Evaluation and Monitoring to support colleagues in Program Design and Program Implementation Teams through the lifecycle of grants (from Evaluation to Closure)

2. For new grant proposals assigned to the team members,

– check all critical assumptions in the circular

– review the quality of the circular prepared by the team members

– if any outside vendors/consultants are hired, work with the design team during the entire phase from selection, interim reviews of their work and timely finalisation of their work

– ensure that the proposal is in compliance with the prevailing regulations and internal guidelines

– join the design team in presenting the circular to the appropriate sanctioning authority

– whenever needed, work with the legal and other support teams to finalise requisite documentation for the grants

– interface with the Grant Middle Office for timely turnaround on issue of the grant letter

3. If required, assist the GEM team members in their interface with the internal teams for timely disbursements for the assigned programs

4. Represent Team GLM for reviews of assigned programs at Zonal/ National/ CEO levels

5. Periodically review the assigned programs (with field visits, if needed). Review Budgets and spends to take proactive measures for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of the grant monies and make necessary reallocations/ extensions/reductions/enhancements/ cost saving recommendations

6. Work with assigned Associate Organizations for improvement in their GLM capabilities, troubleshoot their problems

7. Support activities of the Grant Process Excellence Team

8. Support requirements of Grant Impact Modelling Team /Donors/ Partnership Team/ Communication Teams for the programs assigned to the Team

9. Ensure timely closure of all compliance issues raised by the Grant Middle Office / Audit etc.

10. Support the Partnership team and Grant Impact Monitoring Team (GIM) for its information needs from the programs.

Job Specifications:

Knowledge & Skills:

– Experience of program management/project evaluation/ credit evaluation/credit mid office team in a financial institution or a large not for profit

– Exposure to financial planning, budgeting and analysis in a financial institution (including back office of any international institution)

– (Desirable) Experience of leading teams
