Role: Training and Design Manager (South hub)

Job Location: Bengaluru 

Salary:  INR 80,000/- Per Month Gross 

Role Objective/Purpose (Include overall objectives of the role, the need for the position): 

The Programme Design and Development team designs interventions to shift mindsets in a way that engages with the inherent complexity of the education ecosystem and frames the right problems to address. The scope of such programmatic interventions can be broadly classified under three domains – Curriculum, Capacity-building, and Technology. Our targeted stakeholders start from employees of Dream A Dream and extend out to government officials, school principals, teachers, students and also include other organisations in the ecosystem. 

As a training and design manager, you will be responsible for mentoring, coaching and educating our in-house facilitators and key employees. You will be designing, planning, organising, executing and facilitating process-based trainings for our employees, officials from education boards of states, principals and teachers involved in the projects in which Dream A Dream is engaged. The geographical scope of your engagements will include Dream A Dream’s ongoing projects in Karnataka and Telangana and any other future engagements in India’s southern states and union territories. 

Roles and Responsibilities 

You will be accountable for the quality of Dream A Dream’s training programmes. Your responsibilities would include: 

  • Performing project-specific need analysis through field visits and discussions with school staff, education board, community, and parents. 
  • Collaboratively designing trainings. 
  • Collaborating with the content team for developing programme-specific content and curriculum. 
  • Organising, planning, and executing training programmes. 
  • Enabling the facilitators with the skills and knowledge required for delivering training programmes. 
  • Orienting facilitators of training programmes with goals, objectives, and targeted outcomes of training programmes. 
  • Reporting monthly, half-yearly, annual, and project-specific training data. 
  • Continuous improvement of programmes using feedback collected from various stakeholders. 
  • Mentoring our team of facilitators. 

Requirements (Skills, Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge) 

Required Professional Experience 

5+ years of experience in:  

  • Process-based workshop design and delivery 
  • Mentoring and engaging with teams 

Required Knowledge 

  • Exposure to various SEL and life skills framework  
  • Customisations required for various modes of training delivery – In-person, online, Self-learning, facilitator-led and hybrid. 

Required Skillset 

  • Design thinking skills to frame problems 
  • Process-based facilitation. 
  • Planning and organisation. 
  • Collaborative teamwork. 
  • Self-awareness. 
  • Conflict management. 
  • Mentoring skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Applications – Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook

Required Language Proficiency 

The candidate must be able to read, comprehend, write, and speak in English and Hindi. Fluency in any south Indian language is an added advantage.
