Labhya Foundation is an India-based nonprofit that enables children from low socio-economic backgrounds with the necessary skills to cope with poverty & become lifelong learners through Social Emotional Learning (SEL) & wellbeing programs at scale.
Labhya has co-created & ensures the effective implementation of the World’s largest & India’s first SEL & wellbeing programs, namely ‘Happiness Curriculum’ & ‘Anandam Pathyacharya’ with the Governments of Delhi & Uttarakhand, respectively. Currently, Labhya impacts 2.4 million+ students across 22,000+ schools daily.
About the Role
Labhya Foundation continues to work with more partners, including state governments, multilateral organisations, and nonprofits working at scale. We are looking for a digital illustrator who is creative, expressive, driven, and detail-oriented to help us produce high-quality visual designs. The digital illustrator is expected to identify creative ways to communicate, amplify Labhya’s impact and shape Labhya’s child-centred vision.
We expect the following from you for this role:
*All the below-mentioned tasks would be key to your role. The following requirements are not mentioned in order of priority.
● Create engaging digital content that expresses the vision, idea and impact of Labhya Foundation. Digital content will include the following:
○ Illustrations/posters/infographics/presentations/reports/newsletters, etc
● Developing creative collateral for all Labhya Foundation’s outgoing communication
● Ideating and designing, creative campaigns to engage audience across various platforms
● Research and implement best practises to communicate SEL-related content
● Managing Labhya’s visual content on social media channels and website
Qualifications & Skills / Experience / Characteristics
● Degree in fine arts, visual arts, graphic design, architecture or related fields
● 0-2 years of experience
● Prior work experience as an Illustrator, graphic designer, or similar will be preferred
● Knowledge and extreme comfort for working with graphic design softwares like Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, Sketch, InDesign and etc
● Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects
● Excellent eye for detail, aesthetics and storytelling
Compensation
Remuneration will be based on competency, and we will be building Labhya together. The salary range for this role will be 4.20 lakhs per annum, to begin with. The final amount will be decided mutually during the recruitment process. We are offering to work together on something that has never been done before.
