Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage the academic component of the Program in Gulbarga.
  • Support the Program manager in training and observation of RPs.
  • Customize, translate and develop Program curriculum for the program in Gulbarga, based upon the need of the schools and RPs.
  • Conduct monthly capacity building training and content related workshop for the team.
  • Engage with government officials at district level.
  • Engage with other academic project partners for project activities/trainings.
  • Analyze the observations recorded by field resources and provide them academic and pedagogical inputs to improve the student learning outcomes.
  • Gather and aggregate data for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting (narrative) to the funder as per the agreed format.
  • Support field resource persons in their mentoring and monitoring activities.
  • Follow Project’s standard operating processes.
  • Prepare baseline and endline assessments in both English and Kannada.
  • Support team in the execution of the Program curriculum in all the 26 schools & prepare students for board exams in 9 high schools.
  • Customize existing curriculum for English, Customize and translate existing curriculum for Maths and develop curriculum for Kannada.
  • Develop assessments, lesson plans for the field resource persons to conduct in their respective schools.
  • Develop and conduct training material on a monthly basis.
  • The student growth to increase by atleast 15% in year 1.

Job Skills Required

  • Manage a team of field Resource persons with a view to engage with them regularly, develop their capacity, and provide them support in content or pedagogical activities.
  • Demonstration of high ethical standards.
  • Understanding of operating in a process driven environment.
  • Strong pedagogical understanding and willing to travel to schools on a regular basis.
  • Good spoken and written communication in English and Kannada.
  • Excellent Microsoft skills – WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT.
  • Strong ability to learn and support capacity building of field facilitators.
  • Ability to lead, explore and innovate solutions and ideas.
