About the Organization

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) promotes and protects Australia’s international interests to support our security and prosperity.

We work with international partners and other countries to tackle global challenges, increase trade and investment opportunities, protect international rules, keep our region stable and help Australians overseas.

About the Grant

The Direct Aid Program (DAP) is a small grants program funded by Australian Government and managed by the Australian High Commission New Delhi. Through DAP, we work with local communities on projects that achieve sustainable development consistent with Australia’s national interest.

DAP funding is available to not-for-profit individuals, community groups, non-government organisations (NGOs) and other entities engaged in development activities.
