**Job Description: Associate Director – Industry Vertical**

Founded by Varun Aggarwal, a successful entrepreneur and researcher, and Ashish Dhawan, a private equity investor turned philanthropist, FAST India aims to revive India’s S&T agenda by working closely with key stakeholders in the ecosystem—government, industry, and institutions. The organization’s approach includes conducting insightful research, advocating for change, and implementing scalable programs to build India’s S&T capability.
**Role Summary:**
The Associate Director – Industry Vertical will lead FAST India’s engagement with the Indian industry. This role involves building relationships with industry leaders, fostering partnerships, and driving initiatives that promote technological innovation and R&D in India. The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader with a proven track record of navigating complex environments to deliver outcomes,具备15 years of experience ideally with an MBA and a technical background.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Build relationships with industry CEOs, industry bodies (e.g., FICCI/CII), and key bureaucrats to inspire collaboration with FAST India’s vision for S&T in India.
– Provide thought leadership by developing strategic views on various industry sectors in India, identifying areas of intervention, and influencing the ecosystem through case studies and policy advocacy.
– Create sectoral advisory councils comprising top experts from industry and academia to guide FAST India in developing roadmaps for building India’s capability.
– Drive salience by creating awareness of the need for increased industry R&D efforts through showcasing exemplars, global benchmarks, and insightful content.
– Build a high-performing team for the Industry Vertical, including hiring, motivating, and fostering partnerships.
**Qualifications:**
– Ideally possesses a B.Tech/M.Tech degree with an MBA and approximately 15 years of experience.
– Proven track record of leading complex initiatives, building teams, and delivering outcomes in a multi-stakeholder ecosystem.
– Strong leadership presence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interact productively with top industry leaders, senior academics, and government officials.
– Passion for technology and driving change at a national level.
