About IHAT:

India Health Action Trust (IHAT) works towards reducing inequities by developing comprehensive and sustainable programs to improve population health. We work closely with the Government of India and state governments to achieve its public health goals. Our work is focused in areas of prevention and control of HIV and Tuberculosis, in achieving significant improvements in Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health, improved Nutrition among mothers and children, and strengthening health systems. Our work is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

IHAT has set up multiple Technical Support Units (TSU) for the Governments of Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Delhi and an Innovation Hub in Madhya Pradesh to provide techno-managerial assistance and coordinate with the Governments, Non-Government Agencies, Academic Institutions and Communities

About Program:

  • Facilitate a continuous flow of learning that results in enhanced policy/programme designs, processes and practices to enhance Public Health Outcomes and reduce inequities
  • Collect best practices/ knowledge at national and global level and facilitate the process of Knowledge Sharing
  • Initiate mechanisms for internal sharing of knowledge/experiences among IHAT Partners
  • Share best practices/knowledge from IHAT and facilitate the process of developing platforms for sharing with National and International organizations
  • Initiate mechanisms and act as a focal point for collecting and sharing of information/ knowledge of other donor-led programs

Job Summary :

Associate Knowledge Management will identify and create content for knowledge products, collaterals, website, and social media that capture organizational and project-level interventions and activities enabling knowledge exchange within and outside the organisation. This person will work with the guidance of Specialist – Knowledge Management, IHAT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curate creative content for knowledge products, IEC, event collaterals, website and social media
  • Produce high-quality, well-written, and visually appealing content
  • Documentation support to the projects implemented by IHAT
  • Build and maintain communications assets, including photo, story, and video banks
  • Archive organizational knowledge assets/maintain a comprehensive digital and printed materials library of all relevant documents, guidelines and Knowledge Products
  • Undertake field visits to study the processes and identify case studies and best practices for documentation purposes
  • Coordinate with vendors for empanelment process, collecting quotations, negotiation
  • Any other knowledge management work as assigned by the line manager.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in communications, preferably developing high-quality resources and publications, video and audio resources, writing for various publications, handling the media, and brand messaging through social media
  • Experienced in creative content development on public health topics
  • Experience in working in the development sector, preferably public health organisations.
  • Demonstrated track record in website content development and management, writing and editing articles, social media, reports, brochures, newsletters and emailers
  • Excellent English and Hindi language communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential
  • Good working knowledge of computer applications, especially MS office; knowledge of working on designing softwares (CorelDraw, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) will be an added advantage

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in development communications, social sciences, journalism, public health, English or related fields

Key Competencies:

  • The candidate must possess background knowledge of public health issues.
  • S/He must have excellent reporting, documentation and communication skills.
  • S/He must have excellent writing skills and presentation skills
  • S/He must be good with cross-functional coordination
  • S/He must possess good teamwork abilities and the ability to work well in an interdisciplinary team
  • Candidate should be proficient in the use of computers
