JOB SUMMARY

The role is focused on generating income for key programmes of CARE India, from existing or new segments, driven by an innovative approach, this will include gathering business intelligence, including donor and competitor information, to identify and then pursue new funding opportunities from corporates, Cause related marketing (CRM). 

From selected target segments ensuring high-ticket donations. Target and convert selected corporates with customized giving programmes and create a base of corporate regular donors.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify prospective partners and establish linkages to explore fundraising possibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of donor proposals, concept notes for engagement with corporates or other entities within the target segment. 
  • Participate in events, workshops, and meetings to generate fundraising possibilities
  • Facilitate field visits of donors or general visitors, based on CISSD calendars and donor requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of promotional material for fundraising
  • Promote awareness of the organization’s mission and work
  • Create potential donor list from amongst existing corporate/institutional donors and work on conversions to achieve unit target
  • Spot fundraising opportunities, acquire and target UHNI/HNI as new donors
  • Corporate fundraising entailing employee giving, matched giving from employers and direct donation from corporates
  • Provide feedback regarding needs and expectations of the donors
  • Build good relationships with donors with mutual respect
  • Achieve monthly target assigned

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Direct line reporting to fundraising City head

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Essential – 

  • Confidence with public speaking
  • Telemarketing/ banking/FMCG sales experience or fundraising experience

Preferred-  

  • Postgraduate /Graduate
  • A minimum of three years’ fundraising, sales, or marketing experience
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Communication skills:   Able to articulate and communicate well to all stakeholders (both verbally and in writing) in a manner that meets the requirement

Language skills:  Good command over English, Hindi & one regional language (Verbally).

Market Segmenting and Mapping skills: Identify potential prospects from untapped locations, corporates & individuals. 

Team Management & Collaboration / People skills:  Result focused and driven to meet ambitious monthly, quarterly and yearly targets

Strategic Thinking and Analysis: identify potential location for fundraising, filter prospect base and filter potential leads, set up meetings

Change Management:  Good time-management and ability to work to tight deadlines. Willingness to work odd hours (if necessary).

Operational excellence (Project / Program / Process management): Team player
