The Role Context: 

· The faculty will be responsible for researching and providing subject matter expertise and conducting high-quality learning and training courses to achieve the goals of increasing awareness, knowledge and skills of government officials in emerging technology, data analytics and machine learning related to public policy.

 · Our ideal candidate has a mix of corporate and training experience in the data science. We are looking for expertise in data visualization and reporting tools like PowerBI, and Tableau. Experience in low/no code platforms like Knime and coding languages like Python and R is helpful but not essential.

· At least 7 years of experience in data science, machine learning or related technologies as a practitioner or a trainer (freelance or full time). She/he has experience in both in-person and online training for a senior audience.  She/he has consistently achieved high feedback scores for the training conducted.

· The candidate should have excellent communication skills, and be learner-oriented. The candidate would have a technology training background and/or experience with working on technology learning domains, especially in the areas of and related to Data Analytics, Dishoarding, and explaining technology to a senior business or government audience.

Key Responsibilities:

Learning Strategy & Subject Matter Expertise

· Work in conjunction with the Sr. Curriculum Designer and the Dean of WIPT Academy to decide subject matter and the best methodologies for training the target audiences (central and state government bureaucrats) 

· Create the content on data visualization and storytelling with data for a senior audience of government officials with relevant social sector examples.

· Help formulate case studies using no/low code tools for senior policymakers.

· Review the learning content as designed by the Curriculum designer to ensure accuracy and depth from the subject matter perspective

· Research, produce and deliver high-quality learning assets like training decks, facilitator guides, learner guides, assessments, and other supporting content

Learning Delivery

· Demonstrate strong teaching skills in both a classroom and virtual classroom environment and be able to modify teaching styles accordingly

· Manage multiple teaching projects simultaneously and liaise with the stakeholders to execute course requirements

· Take full responsibility for assigned cohorts from a classroom set up, to group assignments, to learning intervention, and then on to data collection on usage, assessment, quality, feedback, etc.

· Be able to collate and illustrate points using the flipped classroom and case study methodology, as per the major requirements of adult learning

· Identify and address individual learner requirements so that there is “no student left behind”, which includes follow-ups for assignments, assessments, and feedback to and from learners

· Demonstrate excellent stakeholder relationship management skills

· Use all modern communication tools like Teams, Zoom, or other learning platforms as might be required

· She/he has experience in both in-person and online training for a senior audience.

Requirements

  • You have at least 7 years of experience in data science, dashboarding, reporting or as a practitioner or a trainer (freelance or full time)
  • Awareness and deep knowledge of the subject area including latest analytics based technologies
  • Work in governance and policy will be an asset but is not essential
  • Ability to work well with adult learners of all ages and backgrounds
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Creative skills to plan and deliver interesting lessons and lectures at the right level for learners

Technical skills:

o   Expert level knowledge of PowerBI, Apache Superset or Tableau

o   Knowledge of a no/low code tools like Knime is helpful (but not essential)

o   Knowledge of Python/ R is helpful (but not essential)

o   Ability to handle and engage a heterogeneous participant base with maturity

o   Experience in using and creating content for Virtual Learning platforms, MOOCs

o   Experience in building new case studies, use cases and assessments in emerging technology areas

o   MS Excel skills, charts

o   At least a Bachelors’ degree
