Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Handle supporter correspondence and telephone communication in a timely, professional manner.
  • Generate welcome packs, letters, and responses to requests for information from PETA India members.
  • Send out major donor updates as required.
  • Support the Fundraising Department in planning and organising special fundraiser events,
  • sending out invitations, making reminder calls, sending gifts to donors, and coordinating with relevant teams to ensure events go as planned
  • Help the department in setting up new fundraising initiatives, such as employee payroll distribution, legacy giving, and setting up collaborations with corporations
  • Ensure that accurate records of donor interactions are logged and maintained on the membership database as per PETA India’s data protection policies
  • Oversee face-to-face fundraising campaigns
  • Serve as a primary contact for donors and assist them with making donations
  • Thank donors via phone, e-mail, and post
  • Assist the fundraising team with handling donor enquiries
  • Answer phone calls
  • Maintain and update the department’s paper and electronic files
  • Perform ad hoc administrative duties for the department
  • Undertake any other duties required by the supervisor
    Qualifications: 
  • Relevant college or university degree
  • Experience working in an office setting
  • Experience working with a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and a high level of ethical conduct
  • Proven excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and effectively with limited supervision
  • Ability to organise and manage multiple projects simultaneously
