About the Role

Purpose is seeking a standout Visual Designer with the ability to ideate across mediums. Should be a self-starter with demonstrated talent in developing outstanding work. The ideal candidate is a skilled designer with an eye for simplicity. You understand design and communication, and are an ever-passionate creative who can work at our pace, innovating with every project that comes your way. You understand the ability of good design to deliver a clear message and emotion. You’re a strategic thinker and always looking for ways to infuse a creative edge into everything you do. Your skills include both static as well as motion design work (video editing expertise is a bonus). Finally, you have a growth mindset. You’re passionate about skill development, continual learning, and maximizing every opportunity to push yourself and those around you.

The role is based out of Purpose’s Delhi office and you will report to the Creative Lead in India.

Responsibilities

  • Excellent time management skills and timely delivery of projects.
  • Should contribute to the development of design strategy and approach to projects.
  • Conceptualize, design and support to execute campaign tactics.
  • Research opportunities for exposure, content creation, and collaboration
  • Ability to take a project from initial concept to final deliverable, including ability to (A) articulate a clear contextual design brief to define the way forward for strategy, (B) develop relevant directions, refine the work and add detail where needed, (C) produce final outputs and deliver projects.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work across all design verticals of the organization.
  • Ability to present concepts and designs to various stakeholders (including internal team and client)
  • Manage and guide creative vendors. 

Qualifications

  • Research experience and the ability to become well-versed in topics which you have no previous knowledge and to provide valuable insight based on your findings.
  • Good verbal and written communications, client interfacing and presentation skills.
  • Expertise in designing static visuals as well as animated/motion graphics. Wide range of video editing expertise is a big plus.
  • Ability to design in both English and Hindi.
  • Work well under pressure, maintaining quality and attention to detail under real-world deadlines.
  • Self-motivated positive attitude and collaborative nature.
  • Have a keen interest in the ongoing trends in the design field, particularly the role of visual design in campaigning for socio-environmental impact.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and domain relevant softwares.
  • Proven expertise across branding, digital, and print design, with a strong understanding of the creative process, a clean and thoughtful design aesthetic, and very high creative standards.
  • Strong knowledge of brand development and the creation of comprehensive brand identity systems and style guides. Expert eye for typography, color, layout and user experience.
  • Upto 3 years of experience designing and concepting at a design agency, consumer-facing advertising company, or start-up environment.
