**About the Role**

This is a 12-month contract-based role where you will be responsible for executing and guiding M&E projects – both in-house and via third parties. You will be involved in developing logical frameworks, leading indicators, and monitoring strategies and coordinating field activities with internal and external stakeholders. You will work directly with the Efficacy team at KAI and report to the head of the department.

This is an excellent opportunity for M&E professionals to work on exciting projects, including a randomized control trial in government schools to analyze the impact of the Khan Academy program and the launch of Khanmigo (Generative AI tool) pilot in government and private schools in India.

**Responsibilities:**

* Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection, and evaluation procedures

* Monitor and evaluate project activities and progress towards achieving desired outputs/results

* Conduct capacity assessment on existing monitoring and evaluation systems

* Develop indicators, logical frameworks, and a monitoring strategy for the project

* Develop monitoring and impact indicators for project success

* Provide inputs, information, and statistics for periodic reports to the Project Management Team

* Suggest strategies for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks

* Coordinate with external researchers and agencies for M&E projects as required

**Key Skills and Experience:**

* Relevant experience in the Monitoring & Evaluation field is preferred

* Experience with the social sector is a MUST

* Ability to use first-principle thinking and analytical intuition

* Passion for education and a desire to make an impact

* Experience in successfully executing and driving qualitative and quantitative research with a focus on theory of change and logical frameworks is preferred

* Should have either work experience or educational background related to the Social Sector. A background in Education/EdTech sector is preferred

* Comfort and experience with wrangling/cleaning complex data and driving in-depth exploratory analyses

* Basic experience in R/Python, and SQL

* Ability to present research findings using concise tables/charts and related visualization skills

* Good communication and coordination skills
