India Leaders for Social Sector (ILSS) is a non-profit organisation that aims to build and nurture leadership talent for the social sector. Our flagship 9-day residential program seeks to enable senior leaders from various sectors to transition meaningfully into the social sector. In the pipeline are other capacity building programs to address the felt needs within the development sector.

Position Summary

The role will support the leadership team in providing a high level of support for our employees in all HR activities, ranging from recruitment, retention, development, engagement through to exit as well as any other employee matters.

Roles and Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of the Program Manager- HR include, but are not limited to:

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Coordinates recruitment activities which include job posting on appropriate platforms, scheduling interviews, administering and collating assessment forms and collating candidate’s documents
  • Coordinates on-boarding activities such as collating documents from candidates, creating process documents and ensuring adherence to the same to ensure smooth information flow throughout the organisation.
  • Coordinates with reporting managers to ensure timely submission of employee information, including new joiners, and ensure data accuracy in the HR system.
  • Maintaining the personal files and ensuring required documentation is received and reflected in the appropriate internal systems.

Performance Management and Compensation

  • Support the annual performance review process which may include crafting communication emails and reminders to ensure timely closure of the process.
  • Prepare merit increase/bonus/promotion letters
  • Coordinates with Finance/payroll to ensure accurate data submission.

Talent Management

  • Support talent development initiatives in conjunction with the leadership teams which might be rolled out.
  • Support talent reviews
  • Identifying and designing/ creating learning initiatives under the supervision and guidance of the leadership team.

Employee Engagement/ Well Being

  • Regularly conduct employee engagement activities, survey roll-outs and follow-up activities.
  • Support well-being activities such as festivities, gifting, team activities, etc.

Required qualifications, skills, and abilities

  • 3-5 years of relevant HR generalist and administration experience, preferably some exposure to

Compensation & Benefits.

  • Degree in Human Resource Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and spoken) skills.
  • Meticulous and able to organise, plan effectively and deliver results in a timely manner.
  • Proven track record of working with stakeholders of varying seniority, exhibiting integrity and professionalism.

Compensation

Depending on the candidate’s experience, ILSS offers compensation that is at par with Indian philanthropy pay scales.
