PATH is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter, analytical professional possessing a ‘will do attitude’ to work with the omnipresent and dynamic Digital Health team to support the program work in the South Asia Hub including but not limited to India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Myanmar. The selected candidate will get an opportunity to work and contribute to a growing portfolio of impactful work in the digital health space across multiple program verticals, including Neglected Tropical Diseases, Tuberculosis and HIV, Mother and Child Health and Nutrition, Vaccines, Impact Lab, and PHC. In addition, the role would also be an interface with the global teams and country offices in PATH as well as external stakeholders including key donors, partners, and government agencies.

Focus on the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission 

In 2015 health was added as a critical component of the government’s vision of a “Digital India.” This vision turned into action when the National Digital Health Mission, now known as the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), was established in 2020 with a singular goal of providing integrated digital health infrastructure across the country.

As part of its focus on strengthening the overall adoption of Digital Health, PATH will work closely and partner with the National Health Authority to demonstrate an evidence-based and scalable model to improve the adoption of the ABDM ecosystem. Digital Health has been identified as a key pillar for the Public Health domain to enable effective service delivery, real-time monitoring, beneficiary engagement (coverage and outreach) as well as ensuring a continuum of care across the health pathways for the entire community.

Responsibilities

  • Support in the deployment of digital projects with the National and state governments in developing the ABDM ecosystem
  • Work closely with Director Digital Health to help design the digital health interventions across various building blocks of the ABDM
  • Engage with the project team for refining the implementation of digital health interventions in the identified sites and projects.
  • Support the State teams to implement ABDM components in their States
  • Ideate and plan for different engagement models for onboarding the private health sector on ABDM and other digital interventions
  • Provide management support to the project team for effective, timely, successful, and impactful implementation of digital health interventions including project planning, progress monitoring, stakeholder engagement (donors, digital, public health, government), risk mitigation, etc.
  • Create and maintain digital health documentation including strategy, development, implementation, and evaluation frameworks. This would also include preparing reports, presentations, knowledge documents, etc.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams in PATH for conceptualizing, designing, and implementing digital interventions and publishing white papers including but not limited to Strategy, M&E, and Communications
  • Participate and represent PATH in key meetings and workshops with external stakeholders including government, donors, and partners
  • Support with knowledge management initiatives and lead digital literacy sessions for the external stakeholders, partners, and PATH 

Required Experience 

  • Any graduation (preferably B.Tech.)/ M.Tech. in computer science or IT
  • 4-6 years of professional experience across digital, consulting, public sector, and development sector
  • Must have experience in at least one large-scale digital transformation (consulting / implementation) program in the public sector preferably in digital health in one or more LMICs
  • Experience in working with government stakeholders
  • Must have experience in program and project management including vendor and partner engagement
  • Relevant prior experience in the Digital Health domain would be strongly desirable 

Required Skills

  • Good understanding of the building blocks and fundamentals of the digital ecosystem is a must
  • Conceptual understanding of digital health ecosystem and/or governance domain is desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic and multi-stakeholder environment
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English with the ability to articulate views and ideas in a clear and precise manner across spoken and written modes of communication
  • Must possess very good interpersonal skills and ability to handle and prevail in situations of conflicting opinions in a truly multi-stakeholder environment
  • Ability to confidently collaborate and engage across all levels of leadership internally and externally
  • Sophisticated level of expertise needed in MS Office suite especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint tools
  • Demonstrated skills in planning, coordination, supportive supervision, and monitoring
  • Strong documentation and report writing skills with sharp analytical focus and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and an expectation to lead 

Travel

The selected candidate must be willing to undertake travel across various project sites to ensure effective and timely delivery (could be across States outside Delhi) of digital health interventions(* subject to the prevailing pandemic situation).

Duration:  1 year (on 3rd party payroll)

Must have legal authorization to work in India.
