About the Project: Plan India is launching a project Ek Pehal – Promoting Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD)  & Primary Health care among Construction Workers and their Children aims to provide early childhood care, development and education to ensure better quality of life through day care facility to young children at two construction sites in Greater Noida and four sites in Hyderabad for promoting primary healthcare among 2950 workers and their families through Mobile Health Unit in Hyderabad. The project area is based in Greater Noida and Hyderabad. The project “Ek Pehal” will work with local partners to achieve the following objectives:

  • To strengthen the capacity of adolescents by providing relevant information, knowledge on lifestyles and better choices that will help enhances responsive health seeking behaviour.
  • To strengthen the adolescent to address and prepare the community to deal with infections which at times take shape of epidemic.
  • Addressing the immediate needs of the community in relation to health, hygiene and sanitation.

Key Responsibilities: 

As a role that focuses on completing a project as efficiently and promptly as possible, expect to see any of the following duties and responsibilities in a Project Manager Job description:

  • Support the day-to-day implementation of mobile health activities with the workers and their families including: development and management of work plans and budgets, coordination across project teams, and monitoring project activities against plans and partnership agreements;
  • Drafting progress reports and minutes of meetings.
  • Identification of the specialized partner working in Mobile health services for conducting regular health visits at the identified construction sites of Hyderabad. Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
  • Monitor the implementation progress of the project by means of regular field visits and periodic meetings with local stakeholders.
  • Work with the based project team & specialized partner working in Mobile health services for the implementation of monthly targets; Set weekly and monthly targets and route plans for the Mobile Health database management; regular reviews of target indicators; and the processing of status updates from field.
  • Reporting project activities and status to the Project Manager to implement the project objectives within the budget.
  • Participate in meetings with key stakeholders’ meetings.
  • Ensure that timely and accurate reports are provided to the Project Manager.
  • Collaborate with the local government hospitals for referral and follow ups
  • Any other relevant tasks towards reaching the goals of the program and the organization

Candidate Requirements:

Operational experience: Excellent oral and written communication skills – including experience in Project Management linking with Health and Nutrition with good Liaoning skill.

Professional Experience

  • Master’s Degree preferably in Humanities, Social Work, public health (or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant working experience, preferably in public health sector, working with international development organizations, of which should be at a managerial level managing large projects to successful completion.
  • Strong understanding of functioning of Mobile Health Units/ Healthcare experience or basic understanding of medical terminology preferred
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Speaks, reads and writes English & Hindi and knowing Telugu would be an added advantage
  • Experience in representational roles at Health forums at national and regional levels;
  • Excellent computer skills (Windows environment)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication’ and presentation skills.

Travel Requirements: Mostly in the project areas of Hyderabad.
