Our approach tackles multiple deprivations experienced by vulnerable families. It provides educational access to children, maternity entitlements to pregnant and lactating mothers, income and social security support to parents and senior citizens and universal healthcare to all family members to irreversibly move vulnerable families out of poverty.

Position Summary . 

We are looking for a Senior Associate, Operations to support operations in Haryana and Punjab. We are looking for a team player who is passionate about field operations, partnerships and has a penchant for data and evidence to drive policy changes

Requirements

Roles and Responsibilities 

The primary responsibilities will include: 

  • Research and Scoping – Researching and scoping projects in the State within the framework of organization’s operational mission and vision
  • Operational Strategy & Design: Identification and framing of the problem statement for different stakeholders leading to creation of an operational/implementation plan
  • Project Implementation – Manage the team and operations (Designing and conducting campaigns, setting process with government, grievance redressal etc.) within the budget allocated and ensuring that the goals are achieved with respect to welfare delivery
  • Partnerships – Exploring and pitching partnerships with Government stakeholders and other CSOs for executing projects in the State
  • Technology – Working alongside the technology team of IA, vendors to design and implement technology solutions to problems of welfare delivery
  • Data Analysis – Using data and insights from the field to drive inclusive and evidence based policy changes
  • Monitoring and Evaluation – Set up and manage systems that can help gauge impact and inform program implementation

Key Responsibility Areas 

  • Online implementation of Right to Education Act Section 12(1)(c) in Haryana & Punjab
  • Scope and initiate partnerships with labour department in Punjab for working on Building and other Construction Worker Act (BoCW) implementation in Punjab

Knowledge and Technical Skills 

  • Strong stakeholder management and government relations
  • Strong project and operations management skills
  • Strong analytical (data/evidence gathering, analysis and interpretation, hypotheses framing and validation) and research capabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with essential technology tools such as excel, powerpoint and other such functions

Education and Experience 

  • Background in policy implementation and government relations is required
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in government relations, consulting, partnerships, project management is preferred
  • A strong local understanding – language, culture, terrain

Compensation 

The Senior Associate will be compensated based on the Indus Action ‘s compensation benchmarking rubric. The range of compensation will be between 5-8 LPA depending on qualifications, experience and fit to the role
