SBI Foundation
SBI Foundation (SBIF) was incorporated to bring all the CSR activities of State Bank Group under one umbrella and contribute in the efforts made by the State Bank Group to support and uplift the underprivileged sections of society. The focus areas of SBIF are Livelihoods & Entrepreneurship, Education, Environment, Sports, Rural Development, Healthcare, Disability & Inclusion and Women Empowerment. So far, SBIF has impacted the lives of more than a 20 million beneficiaries through its various CSR initiatives and aims to continue improving the socio-economic well-being of the society, particularly of the less fortunate and under-privileged members and enable them to live up to the potential that they all possess.
SBIF ACE is one of the flagship programs of SBI Foundation, aimed at supporting high-impact Sports projects to catalyse the development of athletes (including para- athletes) and enabling them to ‘ACE’ in key championships at national and international level.
SBIF ACE strives to provide holistic support to promising young athletes, Olympic medal prospects and para-athletes. SBIF ACE has undertaken key interventions in building state-of-the-art sports infrastructure, creating and nurturing strategic partnerships with the flag bearers of sporting excellence in India like ex-Olympians and sportspersons of international repute. SBIF Ace levies a special focus on the importance of sports science and its effective utilisation for training and recovery. It will build upon our past efforts in the field of sports and leverage our existing and new partnerships to cultivate deeper and long- term collaborations, thus bringing about transformative change in India’s global sporting journey.
SBIF ACE has extended support to 235 athletes, including 100 para-athletes, in the field of weightlifting, swimming, badminton, archery, para-athletics, para-shooting, para-archery, para-lifting etc. Our supported athletes have won 200+ medals at national and international competitions including the Tokyo Paralympics 2020.
