Purpose of this RFP

The purpose of this document is to Request for Proposals (RfPs) in line with the standards of HCLFoundation. Respondents are requested to submit their proposals based on detailed instructions given below to set up high impact project under the HCL Uday Program in the proposed location using innovative and sustainable models under Skill Development and Livelihoods thematic area.

Request for Proposals

The purpose of this document is to invite request for proposals from reputable and qualified NGOs (Trusts, Societies, Section 08 companies) with a track record of success in implementing project which is directly related to Artisans/Self Help Groups/Primary producers. The partner should have at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in the sector and must be able to demonstrate their work in the proposal. The partner should have relevant experience of working with the Artisans/Self Help Groups/Primary producers to improve the quality, design and innovation across the products.

Scope of Work

SDGs were adopted on September 25, 2015 by 193 countries as an extension to Millennium Development Goals. The SDGs focus to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all, with a total of 17 goals and 169 targets set to be achieved by 2030 and the realization of the same calls for a collective effort from government, corporates, and CSOs. 2020-2030 is the Decade of Action to deliver on SDGs. We are well into this decade and the challenge we are already seeing are unprecedented. The course is expected to provide related concepts, definitions, indicators, frameworks, and methodology to guide towards a better understanding and implementation of these socio-environmental-economic parameters. It will provide useful guidance and direction for understanding sustainable development agenda for 2030 in support of an inclusive and people-centered model of development that focuses on the following key elements – People, Planet and Profit.
