We are looking for an analytical, result-driven Python developer who wants to touch the lives of millions of people through highly scalable and robust code. As a Backend Python developer, you will be building amazing apps to help I-PAC get its feet off the ground as well as improving the current stack of back-end apps. The role provides an excellent opportunity to work and learn in one of the most dynamic and challenging environment and hone your programming, task management and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Understand business requirements and translate them into an efficient and effective server-side application
Develop scalable and high-performance database designs
Develop and deploy highly responsive and efficient APIs
Collaborate with team lead(s), front-end developers and other team members in an agile environment for enhancing features, fixing bugs and developing reusable RESTful APIs
Optimization of the applications for maximum speed and scalability
Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in upcoming technologies

Minimimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably in Computer Science)
3 years of work experience in back-end development using Python
Expertise in RESTful framework, MySQL and NoSQL

Preferred Qualifications:

Expert in Python, with knowledge of Django or other Web Framework
Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries
Fair understanding of building RESTful APIs
Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple
systems, servers, and environments
Able to create database schemas which is highly scalable
Knowledge of Celery, RabbitMQ will be added bonus
Knowledge of using Git, Git branches and Github to manage codebases.
Experience in CI/CD, shell scripting and automation is a plus
