About the Team

Sattva’s Corporate Advisory business unit works with several corporations spanning multiple industries, geographies, and priorities. Given the complexity of their operations i.e. multi-location, multi-budget, multi-thematic focus, different business operations, and higher accountability for adherence to CSR law (Section 135 of India’s Companies Act), leadership and CSR teams within these corporations are paying closer attention to governance and compliance. We at Sattva have an immense demand-driven opportunity to meet this growing focus with specialized consulting services and a suite of compliance products.

The Opportunity

The role calls for someone who can wear multiple hats – a functional specialist in law and CSR compliance, designing service offerings, and project management. They will have to draw on innate entrepreneurial abilities to work in ambiguous situations, with a problem-solving attitude and the ability to zoom in and out of details as required. Someone with diverse experiences in start-ups, the corporate sector, and consulting will thrive in this dynamic role. Training in law with a special interest in CSR and Company law will be essential. We’re looking for a specialist who’s also ready to also be a product leader, in an emerging space at Sattva!

Compliance Manager (Senior Consultant) – a leader to build and drive compliance advisory services and products in the corporate ecosystem. The role will allow this individual to –

• Define Sattva’s scope of compliance products and services 
• Build internal capacity i.e. systems and processes, and external partnerships as required, to deliver this
• Work with teams to ensure customer success through compliance 
• Create narratives on compliance to drive thought leadership in compliance

Key qualifications and experiences

• Professional qualification in law (LLB) from India with Company Secretary qualification (is a plus)
• Has working knowledge of the Companies Act and CSR Law.
• At least 5 years of concurrent work experience in any legal consulting/ advisory, management consulting, or project management within corporates/ social enterprises/
• At least 1 year of team management experience.
• Proven track record in project management using agile methodologies.
• Has been instrumental in the development of products/ solutions/ initiatives that went to market
